Enjoy Fireworks Safely
Fireworks can make an event feel special, but they must always be used carefully. Before using any firework, read the instructions, check the safety distance and make sure the area is suitable.
At Red Dragon Fireworks, we encourage all customers to use fireworks safely, legally and responsibly.
Before the Display
Before setting off fireworks:
- Read all instructions in daylight
- Keep fireworks in a safe, dry place
- Choose a clear outdoor area
- Keep children and pets away from the display area
- Let neighbours know if possible
- Keep water nearby
- Do not drink alcohol if you are setting off fireworks
During the Display
Only one responsible adult should light the fireworks. Keep guests at a safe distance and never go back to a firework once it has been lit.
Do not throw fireworks, do not hold lit fireworks in your hand and do not use fireworks in the street or in a public place.
After the Display
Wait before clearing up. Do not touch any firework that has failed to go off. Follow the product instructions and dispose of used fireworks safely.
Age and Legal Reminder
Adult fireworks are for customers aged 18 and over. Please follow UK firework rules and any local guidance in your area.
At Red Dragon Fireworks, your safety is our utmost priority. We are dedicated to providing you with high-quality fireworks while promoting responsible and safe usage practices. Here’s what you need to know to ensure a safe and enjoyable fireworks experience:
1. Follow Local Laws and Regulations: Before purchasing or using fireworks, familiarize yourself with your local laws and regulations regarding fireworks usage. Different regions may have specific restrictions or guidelines in place to promote safety and prevent accidents.
2. Choose the Right Location: Select a clear, open area away from buildings, vehicles, and flammable materials to set off fireworks. Ensure there are no overhead obstructions such as trees or power lines that could interfere with the fireworks display.
3. Read and Follow Instructions: Carefully read and follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer for each fireworks product. Pay attention to safety guidelines, recommended distances, and proper handling techniques to minimize the risk of accidents.
4. Use Safety Equipment: Wear safety goggles and gloves when handling fireworks to protect your eyes and hands from sparks and debris. Keep a bucket of water or a fire extinguisher nearby to extinguish any unexpected fires.
5. Supervise Children and Pets: Keep fireworks out of reach of children and pets. Always supervise children closely when fireworks are in use and ensure they understand the importance of safety and proper handling.
6. Use Caution with Sparklers: While sparklers may seem harmless, they can reach high temperatures and cause burns if mishandled. Always light sparklers one at a time and hold them at arm’s length away from the body. Dispose of used sparklers in a bucket of water to prevent accidental fires.
7. Dispose of Used Fireworks Properly: Allow used fireworks to cool completely before disposing of them in a metal container filled with water. Never attempt to relight or handle malfunctioning fireworks. Instead, douse them with water and safely discard them.
8. Be Prepared for Emergencies: Have a first aid kit on hand in case of minor injuries, and know how to access emergency medical services if needed. In the event of a fire or serious injury, call emergency services immediately.
By following these safety guidelines and exercising caution and responsibility, you can enjoy a memorable fireworks display while minimizing the risk of accidents or injuries. At Red Dragon Firework, we are committed to promoting safe fireworks usage and ensuring the well-being of our customers and communities.
18+ only. Please use fireworks safely, legally and responsibly. Follow all instructions and UK firework rules.
